In short
Some cookies are strictly necessary for this website to work, so everyone gets them. The others are optional and set only if you allow them:
- Analytics: Google Analytics, so we can see which pages are useful.
Until you choose, nothing from Google is loaded. Saying no costs you nothing: every page and form works the same.
Needed for the site to work
| Name | What it’s for | How long |
|---|---|---|
bnd_site_session |
Your session. It lets our forms work, lets us show you what needs fixing if a form comes back with a mistake, and remembers whose Pass it on link brought you here, so your first month is free. | 12 hours |
XSRF-TOKEN |
Security. It proves that a form was sent from this site, not from somewhere pretending to be it. | 12 hours |
bnd_consent |
Remembers what you chose about the optional cookies below, so we don’t ask on every page. | 6 months |
bnd_site_preview |
Set only in our own team’s browsers, so we can see changes to this website before they go public. Visitors don’t get it. | 1 year |
These are strictly necessary, so the law doesn’t require us to ask first. None of them is used to follow you around the web.
Analytics
Only if you allow analytics. Google Analytics is provided by Google.
| Name | What it’s for | How long |
|---|---|---|
_ga |
A random ID, so visits from the same browser can be counted together. | 13 months |
_ga_… |
Keeps track of the current visit. | 13 months |
They are set for this address only, not for previews or our other addresses. Google’s advertising features and Google signals are turned off, so what Google Analytics collects here isn’t used for adverts.
On preview pages
The previews we build for businesses live at their own addresses, such as yourbusiness.brandnewdesign.co.uk. They have no analytics or advertising: they set no cookies and load nothing from Google or Meta. They keep two small items in your browser’s local storage:
| Name | What it’s for | How long |
|---|---|---|
bnd_v |
A random ID, so we can count how often a preview is opened and tell first visits from repeat ones. It says nothing about who you are. | Until you clear it |
bnd_staff |
Set only in our own team’s browsers, so our visits aren’t counted. | Until you clear it |
bnd_nocount |
Set only if you ask us not to count your visits. It replaces bnd_v, so nothing about your visits is sent. |
Until you clear it |
Counting views like this is statistics for our own use. The law allows it without asking first, as long as we explain it clearly and give you a simple way to object. To object, tap “Don’t count my visits” in the bar at the bottom of any preview. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we never count your visits at all.
Other people’s cookies
This website loads its fonts, pictures and films from our own server. Apart from Google Analytics, which loads only if you allow it, the one exception is the chat in the corner: it is ElevenLabs’ chat window, its code comes from unpkg.com, and it talks to ElevenLabs’ servers. It sets no cookies until you use it; when you do, ElevenLabs may keep what it needs to run the conversation. See Calls and chats.
Previews load nothing from other sites: they may link to a business’s map or social pages, and even their fonts are copied onto our server.
Changing your mind
You can change your answer at any time in , also at the foot of every page. Saying no deletes the cookies set for that choice on this website. We ask again after six months, or sooner if we add something new to ask about.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we take it as no to everything optional, and never ask.
You can also block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser’s settings. The site will still work for reading, but our forms won’t send without the session and security cookies.
Changes and questions
If we ever add a cookie, it goes on this page first, and anything optional is asked about before it is set. Questions to pedro@gfymarketing.co.uk. For everything else about your data, see our privacy notice.
