For businesses
We sell to businesses. When you order, you confirm that you are buying for your trade, business or profession, including as a sole trader.
If you are buying mostly for personal use, as a consumer, please tell us before you order. Different rules then apply, including a right to cancel within 14 days.
Whoever you are, if you change your mind within 14 days of your first payment, tell us and we refund it in full.
Previews
We may build a preview of a new website for your business before you have asked us to. We build it from what your business already publishes, such as your own website and your public business listings.
- Looking at a preview is free, and there is no obligation to buy.
- A preview is private. It is shared by private link and is not listed on Google or other search engines.
- If you don’t want it, it is taken down after 30 days, or sooner if you ask.
- If you ask us not to contact you again, we won’t. We keep a short note of your business so that we never do.
Plans and prices
Our prices are on our prices page. The price you pay is the one shown when you order.
No set-up fee
There is no set-up fee. You pay your monthly plan, and your first payment is your first month.
The monthly plans
- Live, £39 a month: your site, hosting, HTTPS, backups, your domain in your name (or the one you already have, at the same price), and two small changes a month.
- Found, £69 a month: everything in Live, plus your Google Business Profile kept up to date (you add us as a manager; you stay the owner), business cards and a review card with a QR code, designed for you and sent as files ready to print (printing isn’t included), small changes with no monthly limit, and a one-page report each month.
- Busy, £129 a month: everything in Found, plus four short social videos a month, a booking calendar or quote form, your homepage film changed each season, up to five extra pages for your services or the towns you cover, and fast-track changes.
Every website includes your logo: kept as it is, refreshed, or a brand new one. A logo on its own, apart from building a website, is £49.
Add-ons are priced on the prices page. Custom work is quoted in writing, at a fixed price, before it starts.
Our prices include VAT, and our invoices show it.
Paying
Monthly plans are paid monthly in advance. If a payment fails, we will tell you and give you 14 days to put it right before we pause anything.
Price changes
We will tell you at least 30 days before your monthly price changes. If you’d rather not pay the new price, you can leave before it starts, and there is nothing more to pay.
Notice
There is no minimum term. You can leave at any time with a month’s notice.
To give notice, email us or call us. We will confirm by email the date your plan ends.
Who owns what
- Your domain is registered in your name after your first payment, and we pay for it, renewals included, while you are with us. It is always yours, and if you leave it goes with you.
- Everything we make for you, your site, its design and code, and a refreshed or new logo, is yours from your first payment.
- Your content (your photos, logo, words and other material) stays yours. You let us use it to build, host and show your site. You confirm you have the right to use everything you give us, or that we take from your own website at your request.
- Hero films come from our library of films for each trade, so another business may have the same film. You may keep using yours on your own site, including after you leave.
- A refreshed logo is redrawn from your own: same name, colours and symbol. A brand new logo is designed for you; before registering it as a trade mark, check it is free to register.
When you leave
At the end of your notice month your plan stops, and so do the payments. Within five working days we send you your site’s files as one download, so anyone can host it. Your domain is already in your name, so it goes with you.
Changes to your site
Small changes are included: two a month on Live, and with no monthly limit on Found and Busy. We do them within two working days; on Busy they go to the front of the queue. A small change is the kind of thing that takes minutes, such as new prices, a new photo, different opening hours or a line of text.
For anything bigger, we tell you the price first and only start once you agree.
Our part
- We do the work with reasonable care and skill.
- We check every site automatically before anyone sees it: every link, the video, the phone layout, text that can’t be read, and page weight.
- We keep your site hosted, on HTTPS, and backed up.
- We aim to keep your site online all the time, but we can’t promise it will never be unavailable. If something goes wrong, we fix it as quickly as we reasonably can.
Your part
- Give us accurate information, and tell us when it changes.
- Only ask us to publish content that is lawful and that you have the right to use.
- Don’t use your site for anything unlawful, misleading or harmful.
- Pay on time.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit.
Otherwise, our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to the amount you paid us in those 12 months. We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business or indirect loss.
If we need to stop
If payments stay unpaid after our reminder, or a site is used for something unlawful, we may pause or end the service. We will tell you first, unless the law or an emergency stops us. Your domain stays in your name whatever happens.
Pass it on
Pass it on lets anyone tell a business about us. These rules apply to the person passing it on (“you” in this section) and to the business they pass on.
What you get
- For each business you pass on that becomes a client, one month of the plan it chooses, before VAT, rounded down: £30 for Live, £50 for Found, £100 for Busy. It is paid by bank transfer after the business’s second monthly payment. If you are already a client, you can have it taken off your own bill instead.
- A business counts if it reaches us through your link or code, or through a preview you asked us to build, within 90 days.
- It doesn’t count if the business had already asked us for a website, or had already replied to us, before you passed it on. If two people pass on the same business, the first counts.
- You can’t pass on your own business, or a business you own or run.
What the business gets
- Its first month free. Its price is otherwise the one on our prices page: it pays nothing extra because it was passed on.
- We tell it who passed it on, and that they get a month of its plan from us.
Your part
- Tell every business you pass on that you get a thank-you from us. On social media, say so in the post itself.
- Give us only a business’s public name, town and website, never the owner’s personal details. You send the link yourself; we don’t contact a business because you named it.
- Don’t send spam, pretend to be us, promise prices, results or anything else on our behalf, or run adverts on our name.
Our part
- We decide which “build theirs first” requests we build, up to three open at a time. We never build one for a business that has asked us not to contact it.
- We may close an account that breaks these rules. Payments already due are still paid, unless they came from breaking them.
- We may change or end Pass it on. Businesses already passed on keep counting for their 90 days.
Before we pay you, we may ask for your name and address and the bank account to pay, so we can keep proper records.
Complaints
If you’re unhappy, tell us at pedro@gfymarketing.co.uk. We will reply within five working days and try to put it right.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts deal with any dispute.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will tell you at least 30 days before the change affects you. The date at the top of the contents shows when they last changed.
